They should package Parise with Dumba and get rid of all that cap space. |

Agreed somewhat Dan on the $6 mill off the cap, but c'mon... all that posturing last go round and letting Tuch go to protect Dumba?!! He can't be allowed to just play out the rest of his deal and walk and will for sure be scooped up by Seattle if not protected...
Billy has to get a return on Dumba period. Prospects, or top tier center would be the least acceptable in my book... Dumba is a quality top 2 d man on almost any roster with big offensive upside. Time to deal him and stay within the realm of the rebuild and restocking of this teams core.
I'm thinking more long term now, otherwise we go back to the days of Chuck's "win now at any cost" philosophy...

It's sad to see that Anders Lee is out for the rest of the season. I have always like him as a player. But that could help ignite Lou in revisiting the trade for Parise. Now, not saying Parise is going to statically going to be a complete replacement for Lee, but it is the same position, and Lou seems to love Parise. Just a little bit of light showing now on that trade idea.
Not sure if the Wild would be smart in keeping $3 mil on the contract if they were going to be taking back Ladd though. The Wild are not the team that has had a player knocked out for the season. And the Wild basically would be giving a player that still is playing in Parise, plus losing $1 mil for the next 3 season, then $3 mil for the final 2 seasons. Just not smart at all.
Honestly, I highly doubt that there will be anything between the Isles and the Wild, with regards to Parise and/or Ladd. I even thought about Parise & Pens #1 draft pick for Ladd & Barzal. I think Lou woudl fall out of his chair laughing at that idea. But the Wild need Cs and I just don't see any that the Isles would ever want to part with. Plus Parise's down year has lowered his value as compared to last year's trade deadline.
As for the Dumba for Murphy...huh? Why would the Wild trade Dumba for another Dman when they have plenty in the pipeline? Like ThatDarnCat says, find a C for the Wild. |

Soucy suspended for tomorrow night's game In Denver, No great loss, Colorado will be missing 50% of there top 6 defensemen In that game so I wouldn't be surprised If the Avs best defender Samuel Girard logs 30 plus minutes, It should be fun to watch the Wild's faster forwards try to expose the Injury riddled Avalanche defensive core. |

Who cares the reason, there isn't a team the Wild hasn't beaten and lately beaten with relative ease. Make the moves. You would hate to look back on this season and say what if! Go for it!! |
